RESULTS ANNOUNCED IN THE KARADUT COMPOSITION CONTEST
The works that won the prize in the "Karadut Composition Contest" with the theme of Kayseri and Talas, organized by Talas Municipality, were announced by Mayor Mustafa Yalçın. The work titled 'You Will Love Talas' won the first place in the competition.
Announcing the results at a press conference held at the Talas Music Society, President Yalçın stated that 72 works were evaluated and 9 of them were deemed worthy of honorable mention and 3 of them were deemed worthy of achievement awards.
Mayor Yalçın, who started his speech by mentioning the purpose of the competition, underlined that as Talas Municipality, they always prioritize cultural and artistic activities and stated that they consider it their duty to support the arts.
Stating that their aim is to announce the natural beauties of Kayseri and Talas through art, President Yalçın said, “We organized a Kayseri themed Turkish Art Music composition competition in order to announce the beauties of Kayseri and Talas through poetry and music, to encourage composers to produce more qualified works, and to train new composers. ” said.
WHO IS IN THE JURY?
Chairman Yalçın, who also emphasized the competition jury, noted that the members of the jury are very valuable and master artists in the field of Turkish Classical Music. President Yalçın said: “We have formed a very valuable jury committee to evaluate these works. Our jury committee consisted of Üsküdar Musical Society President Amir Ateş, Zekai Tunca, Ali Şenozan, Alaeddin Pakyüz and Tevfik Soyata. The contributions of our jury members to Turkish Classical Music and Kayseri were very important to us, I thank them.”
RANKED WORKS
According to the statement made by President Yalçın, the composer's song "You Will Love Talas So Much" won the first place in the competition with the nickname Kopuz. In the competition, the composition named “Kayseri Nicedir”, which participated with the tuning pseudonym, came second, and the piece named “Kayseri Dağları Yaylayla” with the pseudonym Dağlar won the third place.
The works that were deemed worthy of the honorable mention as a result of the evaluation were as follows: “Erciyesi'n Nazlı Kızı” with the nickname “Proud”, “I fell in love as soon as I was born” with the nickname “Derman”, “I found myself in my hometown” with the nickname “Sılam”, “Edalım” with the pseudonym “Edalım”. Wandering in Erkilet”, the song “Kayseri” with the nickname “Eagle”, “Come and see this Talas” with the nickname “Silver”, “What a beauty” with the nickname “Meftun”, “It is a privilege to be from Kayseri” and with the nickname “Clerk” “Lights abroad” with the nickname “Sevda”.

Tanburi Tevfik Soyata, Talas Musical Society Coordinator and Karadut Composition Competition Jury, who conveyed his thoughts after President Yalçın's announcement of the works, stated that he was from Talas and was very excited when he first heard about the competition, "It makes me very happy to contribute to such a competition." said.
